Meeting Amy Tan

Spotlight recently hosted Amy Tan to promote her Ready, Set, Go line in Australia.

Thanks to Emily, who opened the Spotlight catalogue, I noticed a little ad and sure enough, Amy Tan was not only visiting Australia, but coming to Perth. I knew she'd visited last year, but never expected my local store to make the cut! We have exactly 2 aisles of scrapbooking supplies in our local spotlight.

I was thrilled to find out about this, as it's pretty rare to have a scrapbooking celeb come to Australia.

We had a great time an created a card and two tags with Ready Set Go.

 

My sister Cait and I headed to spotlight for the morning and were excited see another friend of ours there too. There was a bunch of ladies from the Project Life Australia group too, I was so excited to meet some more scrappy people in Perth!
Amy was kind enough to have photos with us and sign things for us. I happy to share my daybook with her and get her to autograph my copy of Everyday Storyteller (she contributed to Volume 1). Amy was a delight, and so kind to take the time to really look at the little book.

The great news is that Yes, Please will be heading our way soon, but in the mean time, I'll be stalking AC Digitals.
