Then install the new version.
When you first open Organizer you'll be prompted to convert your catalog. Click yes and go have a another cup of tea! It takes quite a while (up to an hour depending on how many images you have tagged).
Transferring Presets
I'f you've installed actions, styles or other presets, you'll need to move the files to access them in your new version of Photoshop Elements.

I just installed Photoshop Elements 12 for the first time and it does not have a content CD. I looked on installation CD too and don’t see anything. It is included in the installation now? Thanks Lisa H
Melissa Shanhun says
Hi Lisa
You are right – in Version 12 the content is downloaded as you use it, so there’s no content CD. 🙂
I hope this helps!

Thanks.

Melissa, do you have a tutorial about the organization part of Elements 14? I have used the editing portion of earlier PSE, but have not taken the time to use the organization. I have thousands of pictures, but have to start somewhere. Suggestions???
Melissa Shanhun says
Hi Judi – I have a class about photo organization recorded in PSE12 but it’s mostly the same as PSE14 (except PSE14 runs much more quickly!!)

It’s a boot camp style class to get you started organizing 🙂

Hi Melissa
Thank you for the instructions. I have installed elements 15 and when I open the program I get this error message. The monitor profile ” ” appears to be defective. Please rerun your monitor calibration software. Then with the option to Ignore profile or Use Anyway. Have you come across this before?
Melissa Shanhun says
Hi Helen
Are you using two monitors? Sometimes that can cause the issue. You can follow these steps to fix the error:
